My process for transformation applies to my business and life. Because let’s be real here, the two are one in the same. When I feel myself start to get irritated, out of alignment, and uninspired, I know I need to return to the basics.
- Am I meditating every day?
- Am I eating nourishing foods?
- Am I moving my body?
- Am I taking time for self-care?
Typically, one or more of these things has started to fade when I’m feeling myself slide down that slippery slop of negativity. But hey, we’re only human and it happens. The good news is that you can come back quickly!
I broke down my own process for transforming my mindset, because it’s too good not to share:
1) Open up to what is true right now.
Just observe your current circumstances, mood, behaviors and interactions with others. Where are you right now? What’s going on? Just notice and try not to judge it. Because this is one snippet of a lifetime. It’s silly to attach to it.
2) Recognize where you feel resistance.
Write a list of everything you are resisting and fearful of. This is so helpful! Make it a total brain dump. But then, let it go with a prayer and surrender. Ask for these things to be lifted, to be re-organized into something for the highest good.
3) Choose what you really want.
Write a list of everything you really want. How you want to feel, what circumstances you desire, get it all on paper. This is when the transformation really begins. You created space when you let go of resistance and now you get to fill that space with what you really want.
4) Stay connected to the desires.
Don’t just write them and let them go. Keep coming back to the list and getting back into the feeling as if you already had it all. That excited and bubbly feeling is manifestation in the works. But you have to stay there as much as possible because in that place, you’re an energetic match for all those things you desire.
5) Take a huge leap.
Do something, take action in any way that moves you towards your desires. Be bold here. This one is scary as hell but in a really exciting way. These are the moments when the transformation is in full force. Say yes to the training, sign up for something, book that trip, sit down and have that talk. Do that thing you know you want and need.
